Many kids who come to me are capable but feel stuck or behind. My goal is to help them understand the work and feel good about learning again.

Subjects
Every child gets a plan built for them. These are the subjects I work in most.
Reading
From sounding out first words to chapter books. We work on phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary, and we read books they actually like. Yes, even the silly ones.
Writing
Sentences, paragraphs, stories, and reports. I break writing into doable pieces, model the process, and help kids find their own voice: handwriting, mechanics, organization, and revision.
Math
Place value, operations, fractions, word problems, time and money, multiplication and division. I focus on real understanding so the ideas stick after the test.
Science
Science homework, project support, and plenty of wondering about how the world works.
Homework help
Stuck on a worksheet or lost on a project? I help kids work their way through it. I don't do it for them.
Study skills
How to study for a spelling test, remember math facts, and keep track of what's due. These are skills, and I teach them directly.
How sessions work
- First step: a free 15-minute call so we can talk about your child and make sure we’re a good fit.
- Sessions: one-on-one at my home, usually weekly. Session length to be confirmed.
- Where: almost always in person, at my home. I share the address when we book. If you can’t make it over some week, ask about an online session.
- Between sessions: each student gets a private page with what we worked on, what to practice, and their progress. How student pages work.
- Cancellation: policy to be confirmed.
Student pages
Every student gets their own private page on this site. It shows what we did last time, what to try before next time, and a progress trail for each skill, from “Haven’t set off yet” to “Arrived!” Only your family can open it: you sign in with your email and get a one-time code. No password to remember.
